Cleaning doors should be installed at the base, i.e. bottom end, of the flue system. With flue systems that are subject to compulsory sweeping, and for all chimneys, a cleaning door must also be provided at the top of the system unless it can be accessed from the roof for cleaning purposes.
Cleaning doors from Kutzner + Weber are type tested, available is a range of sizes and can be adapted to any flue system.
The cleaning doors are suitable for all types of fuel and can even be used with standard appliances up to 400 °C with no additional parts. All cleaning doors are quality products and burnout proof.
For use with hydrophobic systems, special connection frames are available with condensation traps to the inner duct of the flue system.
Cleaning doors for flues or chimneys must be installed in all flue systems according to the applicable regulations.
As well as affording access for the removal of soot and combustion residues by the chimney sweep, they are also used to inspect the general condition of the interior of the flue system.
The cleaning doors offer great flexibility. The door panel for example can be removed and replaced by a perforated door (for rear ventilating a sealed flue system). Using a draft restrictor in an existing frame is not a problem either. However this should first be approved by the responsible certified district chimney sweep according to the method of operation of the flue system.
The cleaning doors can be easily bricked into the chimney jamb or can be adapted with an existing stainless steel connector.
For distributors who require larger quantities, the door can also be provided with their own company logo.
