Kutzner + Weber GmbH with its headquarters in Maisach near Munich has been in the business of flue gas engineering for over 70 years. Kutzner + Weber sold its first flue gas silencers as far back as 1988, subsequently specialising to become a leading provider of flue gas silencers in 1999. Another major step came in 2001 with the licence partnership with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (IBP) in Stuttgart as our scientific partner in the development of special silencer solutions.

Today, Kutzner + Weber can call upon a whole range of noise attenuation techniques that have been proven many times over in solving noise problems associated with heating boilers, combined heat and power units, standby generators and other appliances. Besides the conventional passive silencer, the Aktiv+ silencer and the low-frequency silencer are worthy of special mention here.

Based on extensive research, we would advise the use of acoustic measurements as a basis for tackling noise problems, and this is where Kutzner + Weber can offer its customers a comprehensive service. Noise measurements are offered by a network of specialist noise measurement partners throughout Germany. All of our noise measurement partners must attend training by the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (IBP), Brüel & Kjaer and Kutzner + Weber.
